"Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope you have." -1Peter 3:15
Where is your hope found? What is the reason for the hope you have? Many would simply say God or Jesus but can we truly explain our faith we have in Jesus and why we truly believe what we believe?
Often times we don't like to talk about Jesus or God because we don't know how to answer the questions that come our way. Peter is telling us to ALWAYS be prepared to give an answer. What this alludes to is we need to know what we believe and be confident and passionate enough to carry on a conversation to explain the "why" behind what we believe. You see it's easy to believe something you hear but that could simply fall under what we call "blind faith." True faith is believing and also knowing why you believe and being able to line up what you believe with scripture.
Spend time today in God's word. Find the answers to the questions that come to mind or that people ask you. Be prepared to give an answer the next time someone asks you the reason for your hope. God bless and have an awesome Friday!
