Jesus was clear, "Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Jesus came to set straight what was wrong with the common views of religion, philosophy and culture. Jesus WAS NOT a socialist. We need to remember there is something much bigger than ourselves and our immediate welfare at stake here. It is our eternal security. Repent (turn) from focusing on and glorifying "self" and focus and glorify God first and foremost. As it is we have made humanity our god and we're all messiah's trying to save it. That's just another whacked out philosophy that we need to repent of. Man in all his wisdom will never be able to sustain humanity. We live in a broken system. Sin is real and sin WILL bring us down. That's what God is trying to tell us. Turn from our petty human philosophy's and turn to Him. He has a plan that is eternal. ALL other plans are temporary and WILL FAIL. This is not to say we cannot help one another. No, we are to help, love, serve and care for each other but that is done all within the context of loving God above all else.
