Some 2000 years ago people were shouting Hosanna, which means "Save us," to the one they saw as a great political figure who would bring their nation out of oppression. By the end of the week, because this "political" figure could not deliver, they were yelling "crucify Him."
No matter where you go and what time period, we see people angry and frustrated. Unless we bring sin and the fallenness of man into the picture we will continue to place faith in man only to yell "crucify" the moment that person lets us down. Man's primary need is spiritual, not political, cultural, or national salvation.
