![]() They all had stones in hand and were about to throw them at this woman but one by one they dropped their stones and walked away. This is the case when we are able to see our own folly. Beware of looking at the speck in your brothers eye while failing to see the plank in your own. This is the road to peace and unity and God is the means of transportation. Let's join together on this journey we call life. Have an awesome Friday peeps!! #bringingJesushome

![]() We are so preoccupied with thinking "What is God's will for my life?" that we fail to see that every thought, every action and every reaction of every day plays a big part in determining His will for our lives. That's why instead of asking, "What is God's will for my life?" we need to be asking "What is God's will for me TODAY?" Do you think it's God's will for you to read your Bible? Do you think it's His will for you to go to church and be a part of a group of people who are seriously seeking Him and striving to live according to His word? Do you think it's God's will for you to think less of yourself and more of others; to love, serve and care for them, or to even share Jesus with them? Do you truly want to know God's will for your life or does that make you scared? Just know that there is no better place to be this side of heaven than to be smack-dab in the center of His will on a regular basis. I want to encourage you to go to church tomorrow. Expect God to meet you there. Engage in worship and the message. Read your Bible daily. Plan to experience God. Know that all of the above is His will for you TODAY and EVERY DAY. If you live on Kauai, please join us for an intimate time of worship, Bible study and fellowship. We meet every Sunday from 9:15-11am. And yes, we do church differently at #KHCN; we meet in a house. Please look us up or message me with questions. Now, may the God Who Created you for an intimate relationship with Himself, open your hearts and minds so you can truly see and experience Him and know His will for you each and every day. #bringingJesushome ![]() "But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." -THE APOSTLE PAUL (2 Corinthians 12:9-10) When life throws you a curveball you either kick and scream and run away from God or you simply trust in Jesus and experience the supernatural power of God. Victory is always an option. ![]() "But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses." -THE APOSTLE PAUL to Timothy (1 Timothy 6:11-12) Man of God, this is our mandate. How can we encourage one another to keep going on in the faith. Wherever you live, my prayer is that Men of God would not neglect the gathering together to uphold each other. Life is hard and the enemy has his sights set on you! Can you stand alone? I'm looking for men who I can gather with in prayer and bible study. Message me if you're one of them. ![]() "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." (John 20:31) John wrote about all the things he saw Jesus do... All the miracles and compassionate works as well as his teachings, sinless lifestyle and going to the cross to die for our sins. John died for spreading this word. Don't you think if all this was a hoax he'd have let it go before his death? People have always been known to die for a belief but NO ONE would die for a known lie. These things about Jesus were written so you may have life. All you need to do is believe it. #bringingJesushome #khcn ![]() "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." --JESUS When facing challenging and "mourningful" experiences we often quote this verse trying to bring some comfort to the situation. However, this is an often misquoted verse. This is not speaking about the mourning caused by obsessant sin, tamper tantrums, or the brokenness that comes from a rebellious lifestyle towards God and His ways. The "mourning" taking place here is due to injustice and the prevailing sinfulness that causes it. The "comfort" that Jesus is talking about, is a comfort that comes from God when we line ourselves up with Him. In any case, when going through difficult times, whether experiencing it or witnessing it, the comfort comes when we willfully and faithfully turn to God for understanding and remaining obedient to His ways. Too often we want the comfort that Jesus speaks of but instead we run to a bottle, a drug, another relationship, some form of entertainment or or the pursuit of some new "money-making" scheme. Friend, you will never find lasting comfort apart from God, because anything you run to other than God is your idol. NO idol can bring you the comfort Jesus speaks of. Turn to Jesus today. Follow Him, trust Him, live for Him and find true comfort. ![]() True blessings are not wealth, health, success and the likes. True blessings are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. These are known as the Fruit of the Spirit. When you truly place your faith in Jesus, the Holy Spirit (God, the third person of the Trinity) comes into you, taking up residence in you. So these virtues are the natural fruit of the Spirit which lives in you when you believe. When you live by faith in Jesus, there is peace, there is joy, there is love. When you live by faith in Jesus, your outlook on life changes. When you live by faith in Jesus you let Him take the lead. You may not be rich, popular or successful in the world's eyes, but you will have peace, love, joy and all the things that money can't buy. That's the true blessing and you can have it right now. All you have to do is place your faith in Jesus. Give Him the reins, make Him the Lord of your life and be amazed by the awesome fruit that will come from it. ![]() Another day, another battle. As a Christian I am called to glorify God in all I think, say and do. But how much of today will be made up of my own desires for my own glory? How much will I allow outward circumstances to dictate my attitude, emotions and actions? The victory comes only through a consistent and conscious awareness of this battle along with a solid walk and personal relationship with God. For the Christian, this is the daily grind. Not one of working for someone or picking up after someone or looking after someone, but standing up to someone in particular, the devil. I can do all things through Christ. I can work hard and be joyful about it IF I stand my ground against the devil and his schemes. Joy and contentment for today lies in the outcome of this battle. Joy and contentment is all part of the victory celebration when I stand my ground against the enemy's deceptive schemes in obedience to God, bringing Him the glory. Christian, the battle rages on! Stand your ground. Remember your brothers and sisters throughout the world are undergoing the same battle, so stand firm. ![]() A rich young ruler asked Jesus "what must I do to inherit eternal life?" And Jesus responded "go sell all your possessions and give your money to the poor, then come and follow me." Why would Jesus say such a thing? Is that what it takes to get to heaven? Not necessarily. Like the rich young ruler, we are challenged to give up anything and everything that would distract us from fully devoting ourselves to following Jesus and loving God. The young ruler had a lot of wealth and when faced with the challenge, walked away from Jesus. The question remains to us, is there anything that is holding you back from truly following Jesus? What is it? Is it worth more to you than eternal life? Truth is, the more stuff we have the more we are required to let go, because the more blessings, the more distractions when it comes to following Jesus. Is it worth it to you? ![]() My prayer for you is not that God would bless you with health, wealth and prosperity so you can have all you need and be joyful in life. Quite often those are the main distractions the enemy uses to keep us from loving and serving God the way we should. My prayer for you is that you come to know God through Christ because true joy comes through an intimate relationship God, not health, wealth and prosperity. |
Pastor StephenSnippets are what pops in my head while having my daily quiet time with God. I write it down to maybe encourage, challenge or inspire others to read God's word. Please feel free to share your snippets as well. Enjoy and God bless! Archives
